Deol household is bustling with energy nowadays. Reason? Sunny and papa Dharmendra are burning the midnight oil to ensure that Karan (Sunny’s son) gets an impressive launch in Bollywood.

And, for that, Sunny is busy scouting for young girls to star opposite his son. Until the first week of February, the actor had shortlisted 48/200 girls for the film.

Says a source, “The girls selected come from all over the country – Uttarakhand, Assam, Delhi and Mumbai. Karan will soon join Sunny in the audition room.”

Out of the 7 selected, one girl who has caught our attention is Vikas Bhalla’s daughter, Sanchi. Yes, you read that right. The actor-singer’s daughter might just clinch the film and play Karan’s love interest in the film.

Vikas was a popular figure in the ’90s. He made his Bollywood debut in Ramesh Modi's Sauda in which he played the lead role of Deepak, opposite Neelam. Alongside his acting career, Bhalla also pursued his career in singing and launched an album named Dhuan, Awaara and Mehak Teri. His chart buster track Hai Dhuan from his debut album Dhuan got wide acceptance and made him popular and prominent singer. He has also starred in several TV shows such as Tum Bin Jaaoon Kahaan, Karishma - The Miracles of Destiny, Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, Shanno Ki Shaadi and Uttaran.

To talk of Sanchi, it is said that the 18-year-old is a visual arts enthusiast and her work has been exhibited in various galleries in Mumbai. One look at Sanchi’s Instagram profile and you know that she is Daddy’s li’l girl. The youngster has numerous pictures of the father-daughter duo and we are sure that she has got all the support she needs if things work out for her.

The venture will go on floors later this month and will be produced under Sunny’s home banner – Vijeta Films.

While it is being rumoured that the film will be titled Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas (a famous song picturised on Dharmendra and Raakhee in Blackmail), there is no official announcement from the Deols in that regard.

Dharmendra had always told his friends and well-wishers that they would launch Karan only when they feel that they're fully ready. Clearly, the moment is here.

Let’s see if this film proves to be Sanchi’s launch pad.
