Sameera Reddy married the love of her life, Akshai Varde, and they have been blessed with two beautiful kids, Hans and Nyra. Now, during a recent interview, the Bollywood actress turned candid about a scary incident involving her daughter Nyra and revealed that the youngling had rolled off the bed at the age of 9 months and what happened following this.
Sameera recalled that when she found out about Nyra's fall, the doting mommy had started crying hysterically. Elaborating on the same, Sameera shared, "First time admitting this on social media. Nothing happened when I had Hans, I was this paranoid mother and I expected to be there when I had Nyra but when Nyra was nine months old, she rolled of the bed. And she fell hard, I can't tell you but literally, I'm getting my skin is like I started crying hysterically because she was crying hysterically and then Hans was crying hysterically because he thought that he sort of got her to fall and I think I'll never know where she hit him whether she hit her head or her arm but my God the baby of that size falling off a bed you know the guilt."
Sameera felt scared that something has happened to her baby girl and went through severe guilt. Owing to the incident, the former actress had also dialled the doctor at 3 Am and could not stop crying. The doctor then calmed her down and asked the questions step by step to suggest proper medical help for the kid.
She added: "Doc!! I'm still like I'm still shaking because I went crazy I think at that moment I thought this is it!! She wouldn't stop crying. I thought she is going to have something for the rest of her life I have ruined the situation. I am a bad mother. I called you at 3 in the morning."
The shocking incident gave her immense fear and she used to keep checking if her babies’ were breathing or not. Elaborating on the immense pressure of society, Sameera explained: "It was scary because people forget that as a new mother my God there's this little living thing you know we forget about it's a miracle of life and have this little thing who's depending on you for breast milk you know to take care of this life it is a huge responsibility and that's why when mothers are expected to just snap back look good know it all you know this sort of this new mom who has it together I always sat we don't have it together correct because the pressure is immense, the hormones that kick in, the social expectation of a snap back and then you this little baby looking at you and you have to burp and you have to figure out. How many times doctor I've gone to the baby and check are they breathing."
She shared her struggles with her body and how she lost weight to look the way society wanted her to. Sameera even mentioned that she started feeling insecure about her body after her pregnancy.
Sameera even opened up about how her body changed after giving birth to her kids. Talking about the importance of loving yourself, she mentioned that self-worth is the most important thing in life.
