Now, there's further proof.
We hear, Sameer Sharma's second directorial venture, Jugalbandi, after the much-adored Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana might have Jacqueline as the female lead. You do know that the film is being produced by Salman's banner, SKF.
Wait....here's where things get really interesting.
This is the same project that was earlier offered to Parineeti Chopra. And she had an incentive to do the film - it stars her big crush Saif Ali Khan as the male lead.
The Hasee Toh Phasee actress has always expressed the desire to work with Saif. Poor girl had lost out the opportunity to work with him in Dinesh Vijan's directorial debut as it got shelved.
Looks like she is second time unlucky too. For some reason, the Jugalbandi deal fell through as well.
So whose door did Sameer knock on? Jacqueline's. No prizes for guessing who recommended the actress to him. Apna Sallu bhai, of course.
Said a source, "Jacqueline is a big fan of Sameer's work. She thoroughly enjoyed Luv Shuv. Now, she's eager to work with him in Jugalbandi. She has already received the narration."
However, a final call will be taken only after both Sallu's home productions, Hero and Bajrangi Bhaijaan are out of the production house's annual slate.
As far as Pari is concerned, she is still one of the contenders for Sultan (Priyanka won’t reunite with Salman for Parineeti, June 30). So while she may have lost out on Salman's home production, she might just share screen space with him.
Fair deal, you think? Not really. Our heart bleeds for Pari, does yours?
