A few days ago, Comedy reality show Chala Hawa Yeu Dya had Salman Khan receiving a thunderous welcome from everyone on the sets and the actor saying in his inimitable style that he would surely be a part of a Marathi film soon. And then soon, we had the announcement that Salman was indeed going to do it.

The film, directed by
Ravi Jadhav and produced by Riteish Deshmukh is based on the life of Maratha ruler Shivaji and is titled Chhatrapati Shivaji.

Riteish will play the title role.

While Salman had
confirmed the news to the media at the success party of Sultan at his Panvel farmhouse saying, “Yes, I’m doing a Marathi film, Shivaji. I have five-six days work and I have a good role,” nobody knows how long the role is going to be or what the role is.

Well, we have the answer to the length of the role for now. As things stand today, Salman has a 9-10 minute role in the film.

Yes just 10 minutes, but all his scenes are the high points in the film. "The role is designed in accordance with his popularity and charisma."

Salman has worked on a Riteish film in the past when
he made a guest appearance in Lai Bhaari (2014).
