If you want to ink a deal with the country's favourite Khan, be ready to shell out big bucks. Coz Salman Khan comes at a price - no two ways about that.

2 years ago, Star India had signed a deal with the superstar for the broadcast rights of his then upcoming films - Jai Ho and Kick. Considering Salman was riding high on the success of Ek Tha Tiger and Dabangg 2 then, the channel had to allegedly cough up a hefty price of Rs. 500 crore for these films.

Of course, the deal worked out in their favour since the airing of Jai Ho and Kick translated into high TRPs for the channel.

Now, we hear, Salman has renewed the deal before his Bajrangi Bhaijaan hits the tube.

A source said, "Salman was sure that Bajrangi Bhaijaan will be a blockbuster and the TRPs would shoot through the roof when it is aired on TV. So he decided to renew the contract with the channel with a hike of about 20%. The channel officials did not think twice before agreeing to the amount because they were sure of the returns."
