Days after Salman Khan's former flame, Somy Ali urged the Bishnoi community to spare the Bollywood icon, the community's leader has demanded an apology from Salman regarding the long-standing blackbuck case that initiated the ongoing saga since 1998. Devendra Budiya, the President of All India Bishnoi Society, issued an official statement in response to Somy's plea, expressing the community's willingness to entertain forgiveness, albeit under a condition. Budiya stipulated that only if Salman himself offers a heartfelt apology would the Bishnoi society consider absolving him of his transgressions.

Emphasizing Salman's personal responsibility, Budiya emphasized, "The mistake was not made by Somy Ali, but it was committed by Salman." He outlined a process for reconciliation, insisting that Salman should approach the Bishnoi society directly, seeking forgiveness at their temple while pledging a commitment to wildlife preservation and environmental conservation.
Adding another layer to the saga, on May 14, authorities arrested the sixth suspect in the investigation into the shooting incident outside Salman's residence. The apprehended individual, nabbed from Fatehabad, Haryana, is allegedly linked to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, currently incarcerated in Sabarmati Jail, Gujarat, along with his brother Anmol Bishnoi, both implicated in the case.
