Will Smith shocked everyone when he slapped Chris Rock during the 94th Academy Awards. It all happened after the comedian cracked a joke about the 'King Richard' actor's wife Jada Pinkett's hair. Since then, celebrities have been sharing their thoughts on Will-Chris' onstage moment. While many called Will's reaction 'wrong', many said Chris shouldn't have joked about Jada's medical condition. Recently, during an event, Salman Khan was asked if a host should be careful with jokes.
As per a report in Hindustan Times, Salman said a show host should be sensitive towards his audience. Varun Dhawan, who was also present at the event, agreed to the megastar.
Salman Khan said, "As a host, you have to be sensitive. Humour is above the belt and not below the belt." Varun added, "They get offended and one has to be careful." It all depends on your sense of humour." He also added that it is the duty of an artist to check what the writers have written in the script.
The 94th Academy Awards was held at the Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles. During the ceremony, Will went on stage and slapped Chris for joking about his wife. He returned back to his seat and then screamed, "Keep my wife's name out of your f***ing mouth."
