A while ago,
SpotboyE.com brought exclusive dope from Film City where members of FWICE
(Federation of Western India Cine Employees) were protesting to demand a hike
in wages.
While the city
police made sure that matters are under control, a number of shoots have been
affected.
Now, SpotboyE.com
has it that Team Tiger Zinda Hai almost paid the price of the strike.

How is that? Well,
a team of stuntmen is currently in Abu Dhabi where Salman Khan and Katrina
Kaif-starrer Tiger Zinda Hai is being shot. Owing to the strike, these stuntmen
were called back from the city – their flight tickets were booked and were
scheduled to return tomorrow.
The producers, Yash Raj Films, would have been in a soup if the stuntmen had returned. Salman Khan would have had to sit idle along with the rest of the cast and crew of the action film. The financial loss would have been immense for the producers.
However, realising
the gravity of the situation, authorities at Yash Raj Films spoke to Parvez
Shaikh, the man heading these stuntmen and told him that a lot of money is at
stake when a film is being shot abroad and thus they should be exempted as a
special case.

After a number of
conversations, better sense prevailed and the men in question were allowed to
stay back.
However, Sheikh’s
decision does not imply that they are not supporting the strike. The stuntmen
are in favour of the strike in letter, just not in practice.
To talk of the
strike, senior technicians like Binod Pradhan (cinematographer), Vikram Gaikwad
(make-up artist) and Shyam Kaushal (action director) are backing the strike and
it’s getting tougher for the filmmakers.

Evidently, the
producers had got it all wrong and couldn’t stop the strike.
Coming back to
Tiger Zinda Hai, we are sure the makers can now heave a sigh of relief and
continue shooting.
