Salman Khan’s Hit Film Tere Naam Has Possibilities For A Sequel, Shares Director Satish Kaushik

Actor-director Satish Kaushik collaborated with Salman Khan in the year 2003, for a romantic drama, Tere Naam which was a super hit at the box office. Now as per reports in Mid Day, the director has spoken about the possibilities to have a sequel to this hit flick, but is yet to pitch the idea to Salman. The director mentions the sequel can be thought of as the protagonist's journey has still a lot left to be explored. 

Satish Kaushik was quoted saying, "I have a few stories that can take Tere Naam ahead. I have developed a concept, but haven't spoken to Salman yet." The film starred Bhumika Chawla in the female lead, this film marked her Bollywood debut following a lot of films in the South Indian film industry. Bhumika also won the debut award for that particular year. The senior actor has been grateful to Dabangg Khan for coming on board as a producer for one of his films.

Titled Kagaz based on a farmer Lal Bihari from Azamgarh who is declared dead as per official paper, the film stars Pankaj Tripathi. He said, “The story has been with me since 2003 when I bought the rights from [Bihari]. I had gone to Malta to shoot for Bharat [2019]. That's when I happened to discuss Kagaz with Salman. He fell in love with the story, and offered to present the film. I am fortunate that he supported this small film.”

As the film will soon get into its post production phase, the actor said, “The team at SKF [Salman Khan Films] is negotiating its release.
