In the wake of the Coronavirus lockdown, the government has imposed a lot of restrictions on every citizen when it comes to stepping out of their houses. It has been issued that one shouldn’t get out, unless and until it is an absolute emergency. The preventive measures have been to taken to stop the further spreading of COVID-19. However, a report in Pinkvilla suggests that superstar Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan is often spotted taking morning walks amid the lockdown. The information was shared by one of the veteran lyricist’s neighbours.
However, Salim Khan, in a conversation with the same portal, rubbished the claims of violating the rules and said that he has been advised by his doctors to do so because of his lower back issues. Khan added that he has been taking walks from the last 40 years and if he stops now, it might add to his health problems. “I have been advised by the doctors to continue my walks as I have lower back issues. I have been walking for the last 40 years and the doctor has told me if I stop suddenly, it might affect my back more.”
He added, “Moreover, I have the pass issued by the government till April 30, and I am following all the norms possible. It is only on medical grounds, that I am allowed to take a walk outside. I am a law-abiding citizen but people tend to pick on us, given that we are celebrities. I am not the only one who walks around. There are so many people I see, who are strolling with their pets. But no one reports them! Anyway, I am ensuring I take all safety measures and also, I hope everyone else does too.”
While Salim Khan is in Mumbai, his son and actor Salman Khan is residing at his Panvel farmhouse with his colleagues from the film industry and rumoured girlfriend, Iulia Vantur. In one of his videos, Salman had revealed not seeing his father from the last couple of weeks and asked everyone to stay at their houses.
