Early this week, I caught up with Aayush Sharma (a well known name by now) for his upcoming film Loveratri co-starring the Dairy Milk girl, Warina Hussain. While on my way to the Mehboob Studios (Bandra) where an interview had been scheduled with him, I was toying with the idea of asking him about his favourite heroines. However, during the interview- you know how it is while you are in the flow of an engaging chat- I happened to recall that rumours were agog sometime back that Katrina had refused to work with him in a certain film.
Aayush was rather upfront. Without batting an eyelid, Salman Khan’s brother-in-law said, “We can’t do a film together,” and the added with a laugh, “For obvious reasons.” Note that he didn't deny that Katrina was also hesitant to work with him, and perhaps that was the reason why she said 'No'. Well, it is common knowledge that Katrina dated Salman for the longest time before she moved on to Ranbir Kapoor (in 2009). Her love story with Ranbir ended on a sour note is also common knowledge, though the two somehow promoted their last outing together Jagga Jasoos when it released. Since then, Katrina has been single but she and Salman have warmed upto each other quite a lot and enjoy doing films together.
Coming back to Aayush, the boy is smart and can hold a conversation well. It will be interesting to see how he performs on screen. Loveratri is an upcoming Bollywood musical romantic drama produced by Salman Khan Films and directed by debutante Abhiraj Minawala. The film releases on October 5, 2018
Lekin haan, one thing is for sure. Aayush has clearly become frank and forthright now. Earlier he was quite diplomatic. Remember his explanation just few days back to why Arpita deleted Katrina's picture.
We all remember the adorable picture of Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan's mom Salma Khan hugging on the sets of Bharat. At that time, there were reports saying that Arpita was asked to delete the pic by the makers of Bharat as it revealed Katrina's bridal look from the movie. Aayush Sharma had held himself back on why he thinks the photograph was deleted. “Pata nahi, kyun delete ki. Achhi photo thi, maine bhi dekhi. (I don’t know why she deleted the photo, I’d seen it too.) Woh on-set photos honge ya koi galat connotation na chala jaye iss liye delete ki hongi. (Maybe she did it to avoid any wrong connotations since it was an on-set photo). But, it was a sweet photo,” Aayush had simply said only this much then.
