One of the accused drove the motorcycle, while the other, identified as Sagar, fired the shots as a pillion rider. The weapons used in the attack were supplied to them in Mumbai. The shooters had been residing in Panvel for the past 11 months on a rental basis, with a formal rental agreement in place.
Five rounds were fired in front of Salman Khan's residence on Sunday, three days after Eid celebrations. The suspects fled the scene on a motorcycle but were traced and identified using CCTV footage. The two accused were apprehended in Bhuj, Gujarat, and were transported to Mumbai under heavy security. A Mumbai court has placed them in police custody for ten days as the investigation continues.
