Bollywood superstar Salman Khan recently visited the residence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, known as Varsha, to offer his prayers to Lord Ganesha during the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. Salman’s visit took place on Saturday, where he participated in the religious rituals and performed a special aarti for Ganpati Bappa. The chief minister, in return, honored Salman with a shawl, coconut, flowers, and a small idol of Lord Ganesha as a token of appreciation.

On Sunday, Chief Minister Shinde shared the details of Salman’s visit on his official X handle, posting photos of the superstar engaged in the rituals. Salman was accompanied by his sister, Arpita Khan Sharma, who also received a shawl from the CM. In the shared photos, Salman can be seen deeply immersed in the prayers, wearing a casual blue shirt and jeans, while performing the puja and aarti alongside Arpita. The atmosphere was filled with reverence as the pandits chanted mantras, adding to the spiritual energy of the occasion. After the rituals, Salman posed for photographs with CM Shinde, receiving the honors graciously.

The Khan family is known for celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi every year, with Arpita hosting Ganpati Bappa at her Mumbai home for 1.5 days. This year was no exception, as the entire family gathered at her residence to partake in the festivities. Salman actively participated in the aarti and was seen singing Morya Re along with the children of the family. Later, during the Ganpati visarjan (immersion) procession, Salman was spotted dancing with Arpita, her husband Aayush Sharma, and other family members, embracing the joyous occasion with full spirit.

On the professional front, Salman is currently busy with his upcoming film Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss of Ghajini fame. Though he had been shooting outside of Mumbai, the actor recently returned to the city following the tragic news of his former sister-in-law Malaika Arora’s father, Anil Mehta, passing away. Salman was seen visiting the Arora family to offer his condolences and support during their time of grief. Despite the personal and professional commitments, Salman continues to stay connected with his family and fans during these important cultural moments.
