In 2015, reports of Salman Khan and Kangana Ranaut sharing cold vibes began doing the rounds. It was speculated that the actress rubbed the superstar the wrong way when she opted out of the superstar’s Sultan citing date issues. Buzz was that this wasn’t the first time she had rejected a role opposite the superstar. Kangana had earlier turned down the offer to play Salman’s love interest in Bajrangi Bhaijaan and the role eventually went to Kareena Kapoor Khan.
Now, SpotboyE.com can tell you that the two actors are back to being friends with Kangana taking the initiative to bury the hatchet.
Kangana was promoting her upcoming film, Rangoon, with co-star Shahid Kapoor at Mehboob Studios yesterday and co-incidentally Salman too was present at the venue – he was shooting an ad with Amy Jackson, who has been signed as the face of Being Human’s clothing line.
We hear, the two were shooting in adjoining studios. There was eye contact when they met outside, and then it was a case of 'House on Fire'.
Says a source, “There was no awkwardness between the duo and they were all smiles as they chatted like never before. Looks like all is well now.”
Kangana-Shahid-Saif starrer Rangoon will hit theatres later this month. The romantic drama is set against the backdrop of World War II and showcases the love triangle between a film producer (Saif), an army man (Shahid) and a Bollywood queen (Kangana).
Salman, on the other hand, has wrapped up the shoot of Kabir Khan’s Tubelight which also stars Chinese actress Zhu Zhu. The film will release on Eid and tells the tale of an Indian man falling in love with a Chinese girl during the 1962 Ind-Chinese War.
