Bollywood actor and filmmaker Salman Khan’s fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the two alleged shooters who fired gunshots at his residence in Bandra were arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch. For the unversed, the incident took place Sunday at 5 am at Galaxy Apartments. As reported by the Free Press Journal, the Mumbai police confirmed that the accused were apprehended in Bhuj, Gujarat, on Tuesday. Identified as Vikas (Vicky Gupta) (24) and Sagar Patel (22), they are natives of Bihar’s Champaran.
The report further adds that the Mumbai police collaborated with the Bandra Police, the Crime Branch and ATS to launch a comprehensive investigation. The seized bike belongs to a resident of Panvel, who had sold it to the shooters. During their month-long stay in Panvel, the accused rented a house, which prompted the police to question both the landlord and the bike seller for more information.
During the investigation, they found observations of Salman Khan’s farm and Galaxy Apartment. They had noted the Tiger 3 actor’s movements and Security details so that they could evade the presence of the police. They fired near his Bandra residence to incite fear as they were unable to target Khan due to his tight security.
If the reports are to be believed, Bishnoi’s gans is behind the firing incident and the attack was carried out by Rohit Godara, who operates the gang in Rajasthan. One of the accused has been identified as Vishal aka Kalu. He works in Godara. The officials have sought help to get a background of the accused and help them trace them or their families. According to a report by the FPJ, the Bandra police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the “unidentified person,” under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Arms Act.
