Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s security has been beefed up by the Mumbai police, after he had received a threatening email from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his acquaintances. Days after the actor’s team filed an FIR against Bishnoi, Goldy Brar (a Canada-based gangster and Lawrence’s close associate) and Rohit Garg, a PTI report on Monday stated that the officials have stepped up the security for the star.
The report states that two Assistant Police Inspector (API)-rank officers and 8-10 constables will be part of the 57-year-old actor’s security detail 24/7. To take extra precautions, the officials have also asked the fans not to gather outside Salman’s residence-cum-office in Galaxy Apartments in suburban Bandra. Earlier he was provided with the Y+ security and travelled in a bullet-proof car with his personal security guards, headed by Gurmeet Singh Jolly aka Shera.
