Helen turns
78 tomorrow and it's a big day for the Khan-daan. SpotboyE.com has it
that Salman Khan, Salim Khan & Co will be all out in attendance to host a
party at a Bandra 5-star.
The celebration
is slated to be held at Taj Land's End (Bandstand) post 9 pm.
Salim Khan and
Helen have invited all those who are close and special to their family.
It remains to be
seen if Malaika Arora, who recently took her broken marriage with Arbaaz to
the Family Court (Finally, Malaika Arora And Arbaaz Khan File For Divorce, Nov
19), will drop by or not. A source close to Malaika however says, "Malaika
is expected to attend. She is very close to Helen aunty and there is no reason
why she shouldn't make it at least for a few minutes".
Helen was born
on November 21, 1938 in Yangon, Burma to an Anglo-Indian father and Burmese
mother. She was a Dancing Sensation in the 60s and 70s.

In 1981, she married Salim Khan, who was already married and a father of four children- Salman, Arbaaz, Sohail & Alvira. Helen joined the Khan family and played a large role (along with Salim saab and his first wife Salma) in keeping the family united. All of Salim's kids- including Arpita- have bonded with her, and Helen is often seen in public functions by Salim and Salma's side.
She officially retired
from movies in 1983, but went on to do a special appearance as Salman's mom in
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1989), followed by
few guest cameos in Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Khamoshi: The Musical (1996),
Aditya Chopra's Mohabbatein (2000) and Raj Kanwar's Humko Deewana Kar Gaye (2006).
