Bollywood star Salman Khan left his fans impressed with his stellar performance in his latest release, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. The actor has a long line-up of films in the upcoming year, which are expected to keep him busy. Amidst all this, it was speculated that Salman Khan was approached for the Hindi remake of Thalapathy Vijay’s film Master. According to a new report, Salman has brought the right to the official Hindi remake of Thalapathy Vijay starrer Master. The report mentioned that Salman has asked for the whole story to be re-written.
According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, a source close to the development shared that Salman Khan is not keen on doing outright South remakes any more. The source in the report said, “Salman doesn't want to do outright South remakes any more. He is clear on this point. For Master, he has loved the character of JD, and believes that it has solid potential to strike chord with the audiences all across.” The source added, “He hasn't played the role of a drunkard master till date and hence, is very excited to take it up. However, it's on condition that the makers come up with a new story, by just retaining the character's personality."
As per the report, the writing process is currently under process and the producers will soon narrate the reworked version once its locked. The report mentioned that Salman is clear that the script has to be a fresh one with a lot of additional conflicts in the screenplay.
On the work front, Salman Khan reportedly has come on board, director Rajkumar Gupta’s biopic on the best Indian spy, Ravindra Kaushik. Apart from this, the actor has Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, Antim, and Tiger 3 in the pipeline.
