Sadly though, there is a dampener for Sallu himself. The makers of Bajrangi Bhaijaan have been slapped with a legal notice by Abdul Samee Siddiqui.
What's the problem?
You see, Siddiqui has the rights of the qawwali, Bhar Do Jholi, which is used in the film. So the story goes that Siddiqui bought the rights of the song from the heirs of the Sabri brothers in 2007. He wanted to use it in a film that he was planning with Rajkumar Santoshi, which eventually got shelved.
Now Siddiqui claims that the makers of Bajrangi Bhaijaan have used the song without seeking permission from him. The legal notice pertains to infringement of copyright.
Well, let's hope Salman settles this soon.
