Taking to Twitter, Faisal Fasooqui announced the decision to deactivate late Dilip Kumar's Twitter account with the consent of veteran actress and late Dilip Kumar's wife Saira Banu. Sharing a picture of the late legendary actor, he wrote, "After much discussion and deliberation and with the consent of Saira Banu ji, I hv decided to close this Twitter account of beloved Dilip Kumar Saab. Thank you for your continuous love and support. -Faisal Farooqui."

Faisal and Saira Banu kept Dilip ji's fans updated about his life and health through his Twitter handle. Dilip Kumar passed away on 7 July this year. Sharing the news of his demise, Faisal wrote, "With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, few minutes ago. We are from God and to Him we return. - Faisal Farooqui."

The Bollywood Thespian passed away due to prolonged. He was 98. The actor's funeral was attended by Ranbir Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and other celebrities.

Speaking of Dilip Kumar's acting career, it had spanned over six decades. He acted in over 65 films in his career and is known for his iconic roles in movies like Devdas (1955), Naya Daur (1957), Mughal-e-Azam (1960), Ganga Jamuna (1961), Kranti (1981), and Karma (1986).  His last film was Qila, which was released in 1998. In an interview with ETimes, Saira Banu had opened up about taking care of her husband. "It is out of love and not duress that I look after Dilip saab. I am not looking for praises to be called a devoted wife. Just to touch him and cuddle him is the world's best thing that's happening to me. I adore him and he is my breath itself," said Saira.
