Saif Ali Khan may have had an unfortunate 2014 with debacles like Humshakals and Happy Ending. But now, he is not willing to make any wrong moves.
After signing Sujoy Ghosh’s adaptation of The Devotion Of Suspect X and Vishal Bhardwajs next with Shahid Kapoor, the actor has now green-lit Vikramaditya Motwanes next.
The film is a thriller with a lot of stunts and deadpan humour. The director, who has previously wielded the megaphone for critically acclaimed films like Udaan and Lootera, was keen to have the Nawab on board for the movie. Saif is quite kicked by the subject and feels that the role is age-appropriate for him. He is figuring out his dates and in all likelihood, the film will roll by the end of the year.
Thats a relief for Motwane too, who was earlier working on Bhavesh Joshi with Sidharth Malhotra in the lead. However, he had to shelve the vigilante drama as he felt it was no longer topical.
