The recent ons to share his thoughts on current #MeToo controversy is Saif Ali Khan. The actor who comes from a women-dominated household has spoken on women’s safety. Saif told Bombay Times, “I am not saying that I am aware of it because of my family. I am saying, everyone’s got a wife, sister and daughter. You just can’t treat women like this. I have not heard about it too much, but it must be horrible. It’s awful to take advantage of pretty young girls who come looking for work with no one to protect them. They suddenly feel that they are put in a situation where they have to compromise on their values! It’s terrible for one’s soul and that’s not right. It’s not going to happen anymore. People will now think twice before asking someone to come to their bungalow for an audition.”

The actor’s daughter Sara is set to make her debut with Rohit Shetty’s Simmba. Speaking about how would he react if she had to face an uncomfortable situations, he said, “If someone asks my daughter to come see him at Madh Island, I will go with her and punch that man in the face. If she tells me that this guy said this to me, he will then be fighting me in court. I am sorry, but that’s my reaction to it. He wouldn’t dare to do it again. Every girl should have that kind of security.”

Later, when Saif Ali Khan was asked about his take on accusations against director Sajid Khan, he told the leading daily, “I think it’s disgusting to bully and harass women. Whoever does it, I wouldn’t like to be friends with them. It would change everything. We are talking about bringing in laws, like PoSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment). It’s a law that aims to prevent sexual harassment of women at workplace. All producers are always responsible. I feel if there’s a problem on set, it should be the boss’ problem and it should be prevented.”
