A few days back, makers of Begum Jaan put out a new
release date of the film, which meant that now Vidya will be locking horns
with Sachin Tendulkar’s biopic- Sachin: A Billion Dreams.
However, surprisingly Sachin took to Twitter, a few hours
back, to announce a new release date of his biopic– 26th May, 2017. He
captioned it saying, “The answer to the question that everyone's asking me is
here. Mark your calendars and save the date. @SachinTheFilm releases 26.05.17(sic).”

Sachin: A Billion Dreams is a biography written and
directed by James Erskine. The film is based on the life of ace cricketer or as
he is best known ‘God of Cricket’- Sachin Tendulkar. The film was earlier
scheduled to release on April 14, 2017 (At least that’s what the
initial posters conveyed).

Talking about the film, it captures Tendulkar's
professional and personal life in detail, as well as reveals few aspects of his
life which have never been heard of or seen before.
The first poster of the film was released on April 11
2016 through a tweet by Sachin Tendulkar which became
viral. Shah Rukh Khan replied to the tweet by saying that he wants to
watch this film. Khan had tweeted: "This one I have to watch.
Show me soon my friend."
Different posters were tweeted by his fellow team
mates Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Virat Kohli, Harbhajan
Singh and many others. All the posters read April 14 as the date
of release.
But, just a few days after the makers of Vidya’s Begum
Jaan announced a new release date of their film, makers of Sachin’s biopic have
also revised their release date.
Is Sachin feeling the pressure of the competition?
