Aamir Khan's Dangal has leaked online just a day after it opened to packed theatres.
A link posted on Facebook by a man named Hashmi Ah just a few minutes ago, has the full movie, which is a biopic of the famous wrestlers, Geeta and Babita Phogat and their coach father, Mahavir Singh Phogat.
The man whose profile claims that he is a resident of Dubai, even changed his cover photo to one announcing the link to the Facebook video of the full movie that was uploaded by him.
The video has now been deleted but the damage may have been done.
So, was this an attempt to sabotage a film which looked set to become the biggest blockbuster of 2016?
Interestingly, most leading critics gave four stars to the film, including our very own Khalid Mohamed (Movie Review: Aamir Khan’s Punch-Packed Dangal Is A Must-Experience, 21 Dec)
Meanwhile, the remaining gave three stars to the Aamir-Sakshi Tanwar-Fatima Sana Shaikh-Sanya Malhotra-Zaira Hasim-Suhani Bhatnagar starrer.
Not just the critics, the public too gave Dangal a thumbs up.
It got a fabulous start at the ticket window. The biographical sports drama directed by Nitesh Tiwari, was loved by the audience in India as well as overseas.
In India, the film made a whopping collection of 29.78 crore on its opening day. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about its first day collection and soon the film was leaked online.
It looks like someone is out to sabotage Aamir's first outing in theatres, which comes two years after PK which released in 2014. We say, what a shame!
