Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Saand Ki Aankh that released during the Diwali weekend with 2 other films namely Housefull 4 and Made In China, didn’t perform too well at the box-office in the first 3 days. On Friday, it collected only 45 lakh, then on Saturday and Sunday, the film raked in 1.10 crore and 95 lakh respectively. Now, the Monday numbers have registered a good growth with business of Rs 3.25 crore, according to Box Office India.
Despite the critics giving the film a thumbs up, the collections were not mounting substantially. But, team Saand Ki Aankh had predicted amongst themselves that their Diwali will begin Monday onward. In this festive season, people flock to theatres only after their personal celebrations and Pujas are over. And indeed, it has happened in the case of Saand Ki Aankh. So far so good!
