Amidst the ongoing Russia and Ukraine crisis, Sonu Sood is the latest celebrity to express his concern. The actor prayed for the wellbeing of Indian people struck in Ukraine. Sonu has urged the Indian government in Ukraine to find a way to evacuate Indian students and families stuck there. The actor asked the government to ensure that they are brought back to the country amid the brewing tensions between both countries.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Sonu tweeted, “There are 18000 Indian students and many families who are struck in Ukraine, I am sure Government must be trying their best to get them back. I urge Indian Embassy to find an alternate route for their evacuation. Praying for their safety. #IndiansInUkraine.”

Several celebrities have expressed their concern on social media amidst ongoing turmoil between Russia and Ukraine. Gauahar Khan demanded strict actions against bigotry and injustice. She prayed for people in Ukraine. An excerpt from her post read, “We All Know Who The Dangerous Leaders Are We Ignore Or Be Silent. Reacting to this crisis, Richa Chadha wrote on her Twitter account, “Every annexation/withdrawal of troops that push a country back into the Dark Ages/new data privacy rules, everything that’ll happen now will happen to ‘further democracy’ and in ‘national interest.”

 For the unversed, Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, unleashing airstrikes and sending troops deep into the country. So far in the Russian invasion, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reportedly said 137 people, including 10 military officers, have been killed and 316 people injured.
