Unlocking phase 1 has begun in the country almost after 2 month of lockdown implemented with the outbreak of Coronavirus. Actor Rohit Roy who will also be probably shooting his next venture starring John Abraham titled Mumbai Saga, was all praise for his co-star in an interaction with Mumbai Mirror. Portraying the role of Jaykar Shinde, he praising the Batla House actor mentioned of his great sense of humour and being a secured actor. Along with him he also praised his Kaabil co-actor Hrithik Roshan.
While the actor expressed of being in doubt of finding a perfect co-star after he shared screen space with Hrithik, his collaboration with John Abraham for Mumbai Saga changed his opinion. He said, “After working with Hrithik (Roshan) in Kaabil, I was sure I’d never find another co-star who’s just as secure, but he and John are cut from the same cloth.” In Kaabil Rohit played a villain, named Rohit Shellar released in 2017, which starred actress Yami Gautam in the female lead.
Sharing his experience of shooting with John Abraham he said, “John has a great sense of humour, delivered poker-faced. Once, after a particularly intense stunt, he quipped ‘ismein toh sirf Rohit ka tricep dikh raha hai’.”

Mumbai Saga set in 1980-90, will probably showcase the transition of city of dreams, from Bombay to Mumbai, inspired by real life incidents. Rohit says, “A lot of factors led up to the change, which is what the story, inspired by real events, is about. There’s no shoot here, but a direct face-off between cops and gangsters.” It also reports of the film unit to resume the shoot in July and will have 12 day schedule with the sequences planned to be shot in Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City.
Recalling an old incident, when he had close shave with the underworld in his real life, he shared how once when he called for a movie narration; he was made to give a nod to the film at a gun point.
