Legendary actor Dev Anand is known for his contribution to Indian cinema with his movies over the past decades. The actor is no more in our midst and September 26 every year, celebrates the actors  Birth Anniversary. As we celebrated the 97th birth anniversary of Dev Anand Sahab, Rishi Kapoor took to his social media to pen a heartfelt note for the icon and share pictures from the past with the legend. Rishi Kapoor took to his social media to celebrate the birth anniversary of the evergreen star Dev Anand with throwback picture. 

Rishi Kapoor took to his Twitter to pen down a beautiful post commemorating Dev Saab's birth anniversary. The actor also shared several pictures with Dev Anand on his Twitter remembering the icon. On his Twitter, Rishi Kapoor tweeted, “Salute to the evergreen star Dev Anand Sahab on his 97th Birthday. Never a style Icon and a young at heart like him.” The actor in his tweet also mentioned what Dev Anand Sahab said to him after the release of Rishi Kapoor’s film Bobby in 1973 at the Stardust Magazine party. Talking about the confidence Dev Sahab had, in the tweet, Rishi Kapoor added how Dev Anand said, “We youngsters should do a film together.” Rishi Kapoor shared a total of 3 pictures with the icon reminiscing memories.





Dev Anand was born as Dharamdev Pishorilal Anand in 1923 in Shakargarh, Punjab, present-day Pakistan. The actor-director received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his contribution to Indian Cinema and died of a cardiac arrest in 2011 at a hotel in London. The actor is known for his films Taxi Driver, Jewel Thief, Milap, Guide, CID, Kala Pani, Kala Bazar, Jonny Mera, and Gambler, among his other films
