Actor Rishi Kapoor is known for his frank opinions on social media. More often than not, he has even irked many with his tweets. Now, as he continues undergoing treatment in the US for an undisclosed ailment, the actor stole some time to tweet about the Indian cricket team, raising a pertinent question.

A day after the official team of the Indian Cricket World Cup was announced, Rishi Kapoor shared a picture of the cricketers on Twitter and wrote, “Don’t take this picture as a reference point but why do most of our cricket players sport full facial hair(beards)? All Samson’s?(remember he had his strength in his hair) Surely they look smart and dashing without it. Just an observation!”

The 66-year-old compared the players to Samson, last of the judges of the ancient Israelites, who has his strength in his hair. Mr Kapoor thinks that the cricketers would look better without the full-grown facial hair.

Recently, the actor even tweeted expressing concern over the Notre Dame de Paris fire incident. He wrote, “Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral will survive! It has the good wishes and prayers of millions.”

The actor has been stationed with wife Neetu Singh in the Big Apple for more than six months now. Some time back, Neetu had confirmed his return to India by writing on social media, “One of the Quintet leaves !! Will miss you @rimosky will soon be on the same flight back”

Recently, Rishi Kapoor’s actor-son Ranbir Kapoor spoke about his father’s rough patch during an award show, while accepting the Best Actor trophy up on stage. Said Ranbir, “I would like to dedicate this award to very special people in my life starting with my father. He is going through a little bit of a rough patch in his life and I have often heard that whenever you come into some crossroads in your life, you can really tell who you are as a person. Whenever I speak to him, he only talks about movies. He only talks about 'how is this film?', 'how is this film doing?', 'how is this performance?’, what are you doing in this scene?'. And more so, he speaks to me about his insecurities that when he gets back, will he get to work in movies? Whether people will offer him films? Will he be able to act in movies?”
