One day after Irrfan Khan’s death, the news of RishiKapoor’s demise was a huge shock for everyone. The veteran actor passed away this morning at a hospital in Mumbai. Rishi Kapoor had an illustrious career in Bollywood spanning decades, and the film industry mourned the loss of an extraordinary actor. Celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Alia Bhatt and many others mourned his demise and penned heartfelt condolences to his family. Now, filmmaker Sanjay Gupta initiated a trend on Twitter raising a toast to the veteran actor, and Rohit Roy, Milap Zaveri, Raj Kundra and many others joined in.
Sanjay Gupta initiated the hashtag #CheersChintuji on Twitter asking people to make a drink and toast to Rishi Kapoor, celebrating his life. Let’s all post #CheersChintuji with a pic.” In another tweet, he wrote, “#RishiKapoor Even in his passing away we can only celebrate him. 9pm today post a pic with a drink with #CheersChintuji.” Many people participated and shared their pictures on Twitter making a drink and raising a toast to Rishi Kapoor.
