Bollywood's favourite mother, Reema Lagoo passed away this morning. It was shocking news for the TV and the film industry. She suffered from cardiac arrest and breathed her last in Kokilaben Hospital, Andheri (West).

Reema Lagoo who returned to the small screen after a gap of 9 years with Mahesh Bhatt's Naamkaran has left her co-actors in shock.

Mahesh Bhatt, who has worked with her in films like Naajayaz is deeply saddened. He tweeted, "We said Good Bye to one another after making a promise to meet soon. That never happened. We think we have time. We don't!! Good Bye Reema Ji."

We contacted Barkha Bisht, who shared screen space with her in Naamkaran, she replied back saying, “It still hasn't sunk in. We were working together and I loved her. She was a no-nonsense person, very straightforward and I loved that about her. She was funny and lively, she would get poha for me from her house. She would always guide me when I was in doubt and I have learnt so much from her and even though we might not always have been in touch. I will miss her deeply.”

Ashreen Namdaar, child actor, who shared screen space with Reema Lagoo on Star Plus's show Naamkaran, says, "I am shocked. Mom woke me up with this news. She called me the day I received the award in star Parivaar last week. Congratulating. Also last month she came to my place on 30th we partied. No one can replace her . She used to call me pillu and I will really miss that. Since morning me and mumma are crying. No one can  replace her in my life . I love her so much."

Kishwer Merchant who has also worked with her in the past expressed her grief and messaged us, “Really sad, she left us too early, she was only 59, I did this show on Sony called Dhadkan with her. What a fine actress and a thorough professional, I learnt so much from her. Apart from all this, the sweetest person I met, she was fond of me too. God bless her soul and give her family strength in an unfortunate time like this.”

Sayantani Ghosh was too shocked with the news and texted back saying, “Not in a frame of mind to say anything”
