It's a sad day today. Bollywood's one of the most celebrated stars, Rishi Kapoor, has passed away. The actor was diagnosed with cancer almost two years ago and had taken the treatment in New York. Reportedly, his cancer relapsed and he breathed his last in Mumbai surrounded by family. While the actor was well-known for his films, Rishi Kapoor was also known for his social media game. He was very active on Twitter and often shared his thoughts on trending topics using his sense of humour. His last message though was a serious appeal to his fans.
In his last tweet made on April 2, Rishi Kapoor urged all to not resort to violence and not attack doctors, policemen or others who are helping us fight Coronavirus. His message read, "An appeal to all brothers and sisters from all social status and faiths. Please don’t resort to violence, stone throwing or lynching. Doctors,Nurses,Medics, Policemen etc..are endangering their lives to save you. We have to win this Coronavirus war together. Please. Jai Hind!"
His death has indeed jolted the film industry. It was first confirmed by Amitabh Bachchan who stated that he's devasted to know about his death. Then stars like Priyanka Chopra, Ajay Devgn, Raveena Tandon, Taapsee Pannu, Rajinikanth, John Abraham and many others expressed grief and shock on his demise.
May his soul rest in peace.
