Jalebi actress Rhea Chakraborty was released from judicial custody recently. She was given bail after the Mumbai High Court declared that there was no concrete evidence linking her to the drug probe, following actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. She was held under judicial custody for over a month. Now, amidst the ongoing case filed by actor Rhea against late Sushant’s sisters Meetu and Priyanka Singh, her lawyer has revealed why she left the late actor’s home, days before his demise.
According to Mumbai Mirror, Rhea’s lawyer released an official statement saying that SSR’s sisters gave him wrongfully-prescribed medicines even when they were aware of his mental condition. The Satish Maneshinde’s statement read, “The FIR filed by Rhea Chakraborty was for a specific offense of having forged a prescription and administered illegally, medicines which were already communicated to Sushant Singh Rajput by Priyanka Singh in her messages on 8th June 2020. Those medicines were administered more so when the family was aware that SSR was addicted to Drugs and under treatment at Mumbai.”
Maneshinde in his statement also stated that SSR was consulting 5 doctors in Mumbai, who had advised him to abstain from Narcotics Substances as he was being treated for mental health issues. He mentioned that the actor refused to do so, which is why Rhea Chakraborty left Sushant’s home n June 8, a week before his demise on June 14.
