Rhea Chakraborty, late Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend, and one of the main accused in his death case was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) yesterday. It was yesterday that Rhea’s lawyer filed a bail plea, which was later rejected. As Rhea Chakraborty was arrested in connection to the drugs case related to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, in a significant development, as per reports, during the hearing of her bail plea, the Jalebi actress claimed that 80% of Bollywood celebrities take drugs.
Times Now reported that during her bail plea hearing in connection to the Sushant Singh Rajput case drugs angle, Rhea Chakraborty claimed that 80% Bollywood celebrities take drugs. As per the report, during the bail plea hearing, Rhea was asked if she was pressurized by any agencies. In her reply, the actress reportedly claimed that she wasn’t pressurized by any agencies. The report also stated that during the video conferencing for Rhea’s bail plea, after bail plea was rejected, Chakraborty broke down in tears and said that what’s happening with her is wrong as 80% Bollywood celebrities consume drugs.
Rhea Chakraborty has been taken to Byculla Jail and was escorted by the NCB officials. After Rhea’s arrest, the actress underwent a routine check-up where she tested negative for COVID-19. Chakraborty is arrested under sections 27A, 21, 22, 29, and 28 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. She appeared before the additional chief judicial magistrate via a video call, last evening, after her afternoon arrest. So far, apart from Rhea, her brother Showik Chakraborty, SSR’s house-manager Samuel Miranda, and housekeeper Dipesh Sawant, and a few others have also been arrested by the NCB.
