One of the most stunning actresses in Bollywood Sushmita Sen’s daughter Renee is all set to step in to show biz. But ahead of her acting debut her mother gave an important piece of advice to her elder daughter. Renee is all set to make her Bollywood debut with the upcoming short film ‘Suttabaazi’ which will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar. For the uninitiated, Renee will portray the role of a 19-year-old girl Diya Kumar, a secret smoker, and her life amid lockdown with her nagging parents.

While the trailer of Suttabaazi is being applauded by one and all, Renee revealed what her mother told her ahead of her debut. Sushmita Sen stated that she told Renee that just because she is a privileged person, that doesn't mean she can take someone else's place in the film industry. Speaking to NDTV, "I am aware of how privileged I am. I know there are lakhs of people coming to Mumbai to become actors. I don't want to boast but being her daughter has been the biggest privilege. So, the biggest disservice I will do if I am dishonest to my work.”

“My mother always says that you must be deserving, and you cannot just take someone's place because you are my daughter, if you don't earn it then don't be in it. I am very lucky, and I have to earn being here every day,” Renee added.

Earlier speaking about her debut film, Renee had told The Quint, “By the end of it, my lungs were gone. Because I’m not a smoker. Did I look convincing? If I did, then thank you. I did hold a cigarette to get comfortable.” (ALSO READ: Sushmita Sen's Daughter Renee On Her Debut Film Suttabaazi; Says She's Not A Smoker, 'My Lungs Were Gone By The End')
