As coronavirus is creating havoc in the world, people are getting more cautious and are taking proper precautions to stay healthy and safe. The virus is highly contagious - mere touch or even being around the infected people could prove harmful. The virus spreads due to close human contact, hence, many celebs requested followers to greet people in traditional Indian style, which is Namaste, instead of a handshake. Following on the same route, a while ago, we came across a video of Prince Charles where he is seen ditching his royal handshake and greeting people in traditional Indian style.
This video obviously got viral in no time. Every news portal was carrying the same video of Prince Charles doing a Namaste and amongst many, ABC portal too shared the same but ended getting schooled by Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon who asked them to do their homework first as they called the Namaste ‘a prayer-like gesture.’ Sharing a video of Prince Charles, ABC had tweeted, “Prince Charles offered a handshake before quickly changing his mind and instead greeting guests at the Prince’s Trust Awards with a prayer-like gesture to avoid contact amid coronavirus concern.”
Quoting the ABC tweet, Raveena wrote, “It’s a “Namaste”. Do some homework @ABC.”
