Tanuj Virwani’s last big screen outing was One Night
Stand, the erotic thriller which saw him opposite Sunny Leone. The film was
panned by the critics and then sank at the box-office.
Since then, we have not heard much about the young son of
Rati Agnihotri.
Now, SpotboyE.com can tell you that Tanuj Virwani has
signed a big deal, courtesy Farhan Akhtar.
We had told you that Farhan was helming a web series,
touted as the most expensive digital entertainment product made in India.
The web series whose pilot has been shot at a whopping
budget of Rs 85 lakh is a collaboration between Farhan and Amazon Prime Video.
Sources tell us that Tanuj plays a bratty cricketer in
the series titled Power Play.
Farhan has already shot the first episode of the show and
is now waiting to show the final product to Amazon bosses.
Other details of the web series have been kept under
wraps and we will have to wait for an announcement to get a dekko at Farhan’s
labour of love.
But it is definitely good news for Tanuj. In an interview
with SpotboyE.com,the three-film-old actor had opened up about dealing with failure.
Tanuj had said: “It felt very bad when my first film Luv
U Soniyo flopped, but my second one Purani Jeans was coming up soon so it acted
like a cushion. But when Purani Jeans too sank, I was extremely hurt. I
decided to stay away from everybody. However, I realised after a few months
that I better take the failures on my chin and face the world. You need to be
very thick skinned in Bollywood as you meet all sorts of people.”
Thanks to Farhan, Tanuj may finally get the hit he
deserves.
