Rashmika Mandanna's latest remarks have rattled a few minds and she is clearly not winning over her south fans. As if only her comments weren’t enough to irk the internet, a new video of her has stirred yet another controversy.

Rashmika will be seen in her next Bollywood movie Mission Majnu and a video from its promotions has gone viral. During the event, she was seen talking about how she perceives Bollywood music, and she associated it with romantic songs, and South songs, which she mentioned has mass masala and item numbers.

Sidharth, standing next to her even jokes that they all have seen ‘Saami Saami’ from Pushpa and she ends up laughing in embarrassment.

While the clip has gone viral, her South fans are annoyed that she is just restricting the South genre music to masala songs and item numbers.

Speaking at the Rabba Janda song launch of Mission Majnu alongside co-star Sidharth Malhotra, Rashmika said, "Bollywood romantic songs were a thing. For me, while growing up, romantic songs meant Bollywood numbers. In the South, we have mass masala, item numbers and dance numbers. This is my first Bollywood romantic song. I am so excited because it's so good (sic)."

Rashmika’s comments instantly angered netizens leaving them offended by her comments.

Reacting to a video of Rashmika making the statement that was shared on Twitter, one user wrote: “This is why Kannada people hate her. She speaks without even thinking properly (sic).” Another user wrote, “She might be wrong in stereotyping the industries but as fans, we all are proud of our masala and item numbers, which pump up the adrenaline in the movie. I understand not liking the stereotype as Telugu melodies are unmatched, but this bashing is shameful (sic).”
