Reportedly, the Delhi Police have recently arrested the climate activist Disha Ravi for allegedly sharing the toolkit related to the farmers’ protests on social media. With this, journalist Faye D’Souza shared a tweet saying that all parents will now tell their college-going children to avoid all protests, activism and citizen involvement. Responding to her tweet, actor Ranvir Shorey tweeted, ‘Keeping students out of politics is actually a good thing, imho.’ However, he faced a lot of criticism from netizens after he made this statement on his Twitter handle.

Among many, one Twitter user made a personal attack by saying that Konkona Sensharma was right when she left you. Taking it sportingly, Ranvir made a witty comment saying, “No, no, apparently I’m right and she’s left” followed by a laughing emoticon. Konkona Sensharma and Ranvir Shorey who tied the knot in 2010 in a private ceremony with only their family and close friends have officially been divorced in August 2020. Reportedly, the divorce was amicably done as the legal separation has been put forth by mutual consent.

The couple's marriage hit rock bottom in 2013, however, they called it quits in 2015 and filed for legal separation. Despite many ups and downs in their relationship, they tried their best to keep their marriage going by taking marriage counselling but nothing to avail as the duo couldn’t give their marriage another shot. Hence, they chose the legal way to part ways. Ranvir and Konkona are proud parents to their son, Haroon.
