Ranveer Singh’s '83, Akshay Kumar’s Bachchan Pandey, Shahid Kapoor's Jersey And Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha Get Release Dates; Bollywood's Release Calendar For 2021-22

The theatrical release dates of the highly-awaited movies - Ranveer Singh’s 83, Akshay Kumar’s Bachchan Pandey, Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, Shahid Kapoor's Jersey and Ajay Devgn-led MayDay among others - have been announced on social media. The announcement comes after the Maharashtra government announced the reopening of theatres from October 22 which were closed due to the second wave of COVID 19.

Kabir Khan’s sports drama '83, starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, is set to hit screens on Christmas this year. The actor shared a picture of himself dressed as Kapil Dev from his movie along with the film's other cast and wrote, “It’s time 83 IN CINEMAS THIS CHRISTMAS. Releasing in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. #ThisIs83.”

Aamir Khan, who usually peruses the Christmas holiday to release his movies, has shifted his Laal Singh Chaddha to next year's Valentines Day. Kareena Kapoor Khan, who also stars in the film, shared this information on her Instagram account.

Shahid Kapoor's Jersey will clash with '83 over the Christmas and New Year festivities. The movie also starring Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapoor will release on December 31, 2021. It will be interesting to see how two movies - both based on Cricket - fare at the Box Office.

Ajay Devgn also unveiled the release date of his film MayDay. He tweeted, “Ah, at last the news of cinema theatres opening in October, in Maharashtra, is long-awaited and terrific. As promised earlier, the aviation-thriller drama, produced & directed by me, starring @SrBachchan @Rakulpreet & Me in the lead, will release on 29th April, 2022.#MayDay.”

Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer Bachchan Pandey also got a new release date. The film will now hit theatres on March 4, 2022, confirmed Jacqueline on social media.
