Ranveer Singh has sparked discussions since he posed nude for a photo shoot. The actor stirred up a storm on social media as he shared pictures from the photoshoot. While a section of fans appreciated his latest looks, a few criticised him.
Now, the actor has landed in legal trouble as a case has been registered against him at the Chembur Police station, in connection with the nude photo shoot. An NGO has filed a police report against Ranveer Singh for allegedly hurting the feelings of women.
The police complaint read, “Sir, We are an NGO working towards betterment of the society especially education of kids and farm widows in the name of Shyam Mangaram foundation since last 6 years. Last week we saw many nude photographs of actor Ranveer Singh on social media and the photographs were clicked in such a manner that any male or female will feel ashamed about it. ”
The complaint further read, “India as a country which has got great history and traditions, the people in India eat, live and feel as per their culture and traditions. Lot of our acts in the constitution also supports the rich culture and tradition, we are away from facing dire situations like suicides, old age home and less fertility ratio which has become a big problem in rich countries like Japan, America and Europe. We always support that there should be freedom of speech and expression but that doesn’t mean that you should roam nude in the society. The actors in India are called Nayak and the people of India follow them, in some part of India the people even worship them as God.”
Ranveer broke the internet with his nude photosoot, but many might see him imitating Burt Reynolds’ well-known cover photo in one of his images, posing on a rug while supporting his head with one hand and covering his modesty with the other.
