Ranveer Singh and Kabir Khan have started prepping up for 83, which is based on the life of legendary cricketer, Kapil Dev. The director-actor duo visited the Lord’s Cricket Ground to watch the India vs England Test match, where they caught up with Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar too. Bajrangi Bhaijaan director, Kabir took to social media to share a selfie with Ranveer and Sachin and captioned it as, “Sachin was 9- years-old when he saw on television Kapil’s Dev win the World Cup in 1983 right here at this ground. That win inspired him to want to play for India. 35 years later we kick-off the prep for our film 83 at the Lords… Can’t get better than this can it? @ranveersingh @sachintendulkar #indiaenglandseries #lords #filmprep.”
Ranveer also shared the picture from the cricket ground and wrote, “Rain Rain go away”. Dressed in orange blazer and mustard waist-coat, Ranveer looked every bit of regal in his formal attire.
Meanwhile,
SpotboyE.com was the one to break the news of Ranveer Singh being finalised to
play Kapil Dev on-screen. Singh’s spokesperson had told SpotboyE.com, “It’s too
early to confirm anything with regards to Ranveer Singh playing Kapil Dev. An
announcement will be made by the production house as and when everything is
finalized." To talk of the latest pictures from Lord's, fans will eagerly
await to see what magic Ranveer and Kabir create together on-screen, as they
unite for the first time for a project.
