After his stint in 2018 with Rajkummar Hirani’s Sanju, Ranbir Kapoor’s fans are dying to see him spell his magic on the big screen once again. For quite some time, RK has been shooting for Brahmastra co-starring girlfriend Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and helmed by Ayan Mukerji. A couple of months before the lockdown was imposed, Big B, Alia, RK and Ayan had announced the release date of their fantasy trilogy. They had promised Brahmastra will arrive in theatres on December 4, 2020, but this seems to have changed.
Apart from Brahmastra, RK had also been shooting for YRF’s Shamshera opposite Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt among others. While the shoots have come to a halt due to COVID-19, here’s some good news for all Ranbir fans. If all goes well, Ranbir will soon team up with Kabir Singh team- director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and producer Murad Khetani. According to the latest report in Mumbai Mirror, RK will next be seen in Vanga’s directorial which is touted to be a gangster drama. The Sanju actor and Murad are currently waiting for the narration of the next project.
Spilling the beans to the tabloid, Murad said, “The script is locked. Before the lockdown brought everything to a standstill, Sandeep was writing and looking to narrate it to the actors in May or June. He is in Hyderabad right now and once things get back to normal, the narrations will happen and we will proceed with the casting.”
