As the theatres are shut all over India due to the outbreak of Coronavirus, the filmmakers are moving towards OTT platforms. Many Bollywood films like Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Sadak 2 and others have been released on OTT platforms. Now, if the latest reports are anything to go by, Ranbir Kapoor too is expected to make his debut on OTT platform, or at least, that seems to be on cards. The actor has been reportedly approached by Disney+ Hotstar for a 10-part assassin series.

As reported by mid-day, Ranbir Kapoor has been approached by the OTT giant for an original series that will be shot in several countries. However, the actor is yet to give his nod to the same. A source was quoted saying by the portal, "The discussions began only a few weeks ago. Only if RK gives his nod, the team will begin the hunt for a director. The 10-part series has been envisioned on a grand scale and will be shot across multiple countries. The show is not likely to go on floors soon as the multi-country shoot will be hard to pull off amid the current restrictions. Also, Ranbir Kapoor has allotted his dates to his next with Shraddha Kapoor that rolls in November."

Ranbir Kapoor along with Alia Bhatt has reportedly started dubbing for Ayan Mukerji's film Brahamstra. A few scenes are still remaining to be shot. The film that also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Akkineni Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy was supposed to release in December this year, however, due to the pandemic, its release date has been reportedly pushed.
