The dreaded disease of cancer is on the rise and in the last couple of years, we have seen several celebs being detected by the big C. While, most of them have fought the deadly disease and come out stronger, some of them have succumbed to it.

We have several NGOs that work towards curing cancer patients and one such NGO is called DATRI which is said to be the nation’s largest blood stem cells donor registry and helps patients with blood cancer and other fatal blood disorders. Darasing Khurana, Mr India 2017 is the brand ambassador of this NGO.

Now, we have learnt that the NGO has approached two celebs namely Ranbir Kapoor and Sonali Bendre to be the face of the brand. They are in talks and a meeting will happen very soon which will further decide if either of them or both decide to associate themselves with the social cause.

Well, Ranbir supports several charities. He is the goodwill ambassador of Shabana Azmi’s Mijwan Welfare Society, an NGO that helps towards women empowerment. He is also the campaign ambassador for Marks for Sports, a nationwide initiative to promote fitness and health in India. Last year, Ranbir even collaborated with Aamir Khan’s Paani Foundation to help local farmers and villagers suffering from drought parts in Maharashtra.

Speaking of Sonali Bendre, last year in July, the actress revealed on social media that she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer and was undergoing treatment for the same in New York City hospital. Post her treatment, she returned to India in December 2018 and since then, has been inspiring many by sharing her trying times in battling the dreaded C.

Now coming back to the NGO, let’s see if these two stars decide to give a nod. We shall be the first to update you on this. Keep reading this space.
