Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap had helmed Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma starrer Bombay Velvet in the year 2015. Though the film bombed at the box office, it remains one of the favourites among the cinema lovers. Anurag dropped a still from this movie recently on his Instagram account, which had Ranbir Kapoor and actor Satyadeep Misra. Anurag mentions this pic of RK reminding him of the showman and Ranbir’s grandfather Raj Kapoor. Now that’s a huge compliment. We hope Ranbir has already taken a note of it.

Seen in his onscreen street fighter avatar, in a white best, Kapoor is seen next to Satyadeep. He shared this movie still from Bombay Velvet and captioned it as, “Love this picture from Bombay Velvet Ranbir here reminds me of Raj Kapoor and @instasattu is like a young Iftikhaar.” Following Anurag, Satyadeep too posted this picture and mentioned of this film being a rewarding one irrespective of its box office outcome. Satyadeep is seen in a checkered shirt, sporting a moustache.

He captioned this image as, ‘Still my most rewarding experience on a film set, regardless of the outcome!#BombayVelvet #anuragkashyap #ranbirkapoor”-

When the film failed at the box office, Anurag Kashyap had solely taken the onus of the film’s failure. In conversation with PTI, he had said, “When a film fails, it is 100 percent the director’s fault. If Bombay Velvet didn’t work, it is entirely my fault. The director is the only one who has the power to say no. A lot of the places where I should’ve taken a stand, I didn’t. So the mistake is mine. When a film is good, it’s everybody’s contribution.” ALSO READ: Priyanka Chopra And Anurag Kashyap Roped In As Ambassadors For The Toronto International Film Festival 2020; Will Join Nicole Kidman, Martin Scorsese On Virtual Red Carpet
