And the day has arrived! In the next couple of hours, Rana Daggubati and Miheeka Bajaj will be the man and wife. After two-day pre-wedding festivities, Miheeka and Rana will tie the knot, today, following Marwari and Telugu rituals. Recently, we brought you stunning pictures of the soon-to-wed couple – Rana and Miheeka – from their haldi followed by a Mehendi ceremony. Looking no less than a diva, the bride-to-be opted for a yellow lehenga for haldi and pink for her Mehendi functions.
A while back, Rana shared his first look as the groom on social media and we are awestruck. Looking cool as cucumber Rana opts for a beige Khadi Kurta and self-designed lungi. Showing the victory sign to the camera, the groom-to-be poses with uncle Venkatesh Daggubati and dad Suresh is ready for his D-Day and is waiting for his bride Miheeka Bajaj. What a delighted photo to begin the big day with. Don’t you agree?
Earlier speaking about the rituals, groom’s father Suresh Babu told Times Of India, “It was all very simple, nothing extravagant. With the whole family here, it felt good to have a cosy and safe function." However, a source close to their house revealed to the portal, “It was a strictly family affair and although everybody was very mindful and maintained distancing because of the COVID-19 situation, it was a day of fun and laughter. The whole family has come together to celebrate the occasion. There was no tamasha or band baaja, just the closest family members coming together and bonding. It was a truly special occasion."
Before starting with Puja yesterday, Miheeka’s mother shared, “Mata ki chowki is a traditional custom that we follow in our family. It's a low-key affair where the family gets together for a small puja and exchange sweets, etc. It's auspicious to have this ceremony just before the wedding day."
Well, we know many hearts will break today, we are equally excited. Aren’t we?
