While speculations of Ram Gopal Varma making a film on the notorious criminal have been doing the rounds for some time now, he took to Twitter to confirm the news this morning. He said, “Am going to make a 3 part film on the Nayeem story ..Rakthacharitra had only two parts..Nayeem will have 3 parts (sic).”
He also spoke about collecting information about Nayeemuddin from various sources and how a single feature film isn’t enough to justify his life.
Mohammed Nayeemuddin alias Nayeem from Telangana India, was a former Naxalite wanted in over 100 criminal cases including the sensational killing of IPS officer KS Vyas. He was gunned down in Operation Nayeem in Shadnagar (Mahabubnagar district) in the outskirts of Hyderabad on August 8, 2016.
A couple of months ago, Ram Gopal Varma announced that Rai will feature Vivek Oberoi in lead role. As for his other project, Sarkar 3-- to roll next month -- the filmmaker confirmed that Amitabh Bachchan will feature in it.
