SpotboyE.com got in touch with popular singer Jubin Nautiyal to know how special is the festival for him. The singer not just shared his favourite childhood memories from the festival but also revealed that this year he plans to celebrate the festival with his family at his hometown in Dehradun keeping in mind the risk of Covid-19 third wave.
Jubin shared, "As a brother, I feel every day is Raksha Bandhan and sacred for me, as special as Mother's Day. I am the youngest one in my family and I clearly remember that during our childhood days where my sisters used to dress me up in different god avatars. There were many occasions where they dressed me as lord Krishna. I adore those days so much when I think of them now. I love and respect my sisters so much and always wish to spend alot of time with them . Usually for Rakhi , we all celebrate at home together and have a good meal with a alot of sweets. All I can say is I have three mothers"
He added, "I have made my work set up here in Dehradun since pandemic and have spent quality time with myself and my family, I hope to do the same during Rakhi. We will celebrate this auspicious ritual of Raksha Bandhan at home to follow covid protocol and not take any chances with family's safety as the uncertainty of third wave is still there. It's a festival to share joy with your siblings and family, and to keep them safe, see them happy is top priority as of now. "
Right from megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan to Akshay Kumar, stars have been cherishing their old memories of Raksha Bandhan with heartfelt post on their respective social media handles.
