Actor Rajpal Yadav has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry with his versatile performances and comic timings. He has found himself in legal trouble yet again, after the Central Bank of India sealed his property in Seth Enclave Colony, near Kachhari in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh due to unpaid loans. According to a report by the Free Press Journal, the actor has mortgaged his property to secure a Rs 3 crore loan to produce a film.

The 53-year-old actor had reportedly established his production house Shri Naurang Godavari Entertainment Limited, under the name of his parents, with the property that was mortgaged to the bank. Officially owned by his wife Radha Yadav, the production house produced a film starring Rajpal and late actor Om Puri in lead roles. The film reportedly also featured local artists from Shahjahanpur.

The media publication in their report state that the Chandu Champion actor had taken a loan from Mumbai branch at Bandra Kurla Complex. He failed to repay the loan, which had swelled to Rs 11 crore. On Tuesday, the bank’s team sealed the property discreetly, without the help of local police or officials. The team also placed a lock on the gate without turning off the cooler which was running inside the building. It is to be noted that on Monday, there was no sign of an official notice or banner which declared the bank’s claim over the property.

Despite the bank's earlier request for security support, the local police was not involved in the sealing operation. The manager of the local branch, Manoj, confirmed that the recovery team from Mumbai had carried out the sealing. However, the bank’s Bareilly DRM, SK Sabharwal, declined to comment on the matter.
